Music makes my world go around. I have a very diverse taste, ranging through several completely different genres. But where does this relate to the design world?
Some of the greatest bands to withstand the test of time also have the most simple of logos. What came first? The font or the logo? I don’t know the answer… but I have put together a collection of 62 fonts, that have been used over the years to very easily create some of the most memorable logos in the music industry.

Sorry Daniel, but a zip file with them all would be a massive bandwidth sapper, because almost everyone would just download that instead of just the fonts they want… If you want them all you will have to just be patient
haha

I hate to say, but lots of these fonts are based on the band name, so therefore it’s pretty obvious which came first. I mean, who calls a font Hybrid Theory without being influenced by the band? Or is it just some huge coincidence/laziness that the designer for the album cover just googled the album name and went with whatever font was closest?
In which case, I can’t wait for someone to release an album titled “ITC Stone Sans”. It’ll make my life a hell of a lot easier!

thanks for your input James, and I can see where you are coming from, but It’s actually not a huge coincidence… Both Linkin Park fonts were called Linkin so I renamed one Hybrid Theory so that you can have them both installed without conflicting =)
