Craig Abbott is an independant Graphic Designer from Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK). Since Photoshop 7 Craig has nurtured an unhealthy obsession with the software. Which has seen his self-taught talents blossom into some serious skills.
It’s tragic that you would use an image that on the verge of nudity and not something more incline for all ages and backgrounds I would hate to think that my young innocent students would be able to get help from your choose of imagery for a tutorial normally I dont have much to say but this is an insult to the learning community AACEE
The reason I used this image is because I didn’t make the artwork specifically for the tutorial. I do not sit down and think ‘what can I write a tutorial about’. The tutorials are drawn up from work I have done in other avenues. The image is not exactly R-Rated or pornography is it? It was a shot for a run of the mill magazine that was used.
I am sorry you find my work ‘an insult to the learning community’… But are you prepared to buy me the images I would require to make an image of this quality? No, probably not… Therefor I will continue to use the ones I am donated for free…
Here here Craig, the work that you do is brilliant, don’t let one small minded individual tell you any different. As for the choice of image you probably know Rhonda USA that your young innocent students peruse at far worse nudity images than the young lady on this picture.
A simple but effective Photoshop Tutorial to show you how to add wings to create a dark and sexy angel. Tutorial includes downloads for .PSD and resource images….
This is the first time I have used this site, but I appreciate the time you have taken to make the tutorial. I’m currently working on some pictures for a gaming website and will be sure to check back for more suggestions from you. Thanks again!!

I don’t usually comment on these tuts, but this one I have to. I understand the image of the girl is stock, but when the background is removed there is an unnatural hard edge on her head and hair. Also just covering up the edge of where the wings meet her back is not very appealing. Merging these in a more fluid manner would have been a better effect than “skin splashes”. That’s my two pennies.

Quality tutorial and a great picture! Well done! Keep up the good work!
And @Rhonda – the only thing tragic is that someone making such terrible grammatical errors as yourself is allowed to teach anyone anything at all!
